The 'Big Five' and scores of wildlife roam free around Morokolo Game Lodge, a private game lodge, just 2 ½ hours’ drive from Johannesburg. With four luxury double suites plus a private bar and entertainment area, Morokolo Game Lodge is the ideal wildlife safari getaway destination for couples, families and small corporate or tourist groups throughout the year. Accommodation The lodge offers four luxury double rooms with spacious en-suite bathrooms boasting oval stone bath, modern finishes and a private courtyard with outside shower under the African sky. Two of these are family rooms with upstairs mezzanine lofts offering two additional single beds in each. The lodge can therefore accommodate up to 8 adults and 4 children, but limited to 10 in total. Each room has a bar fridge and coffee/tea facilities, is fully air-conditioned, has a cosy fireplace and private patio. The four rooms are all linked to the main entertainment building with walkways. We have an undercover parking area for 4 vehicles and our dedicated game drive vehicle. A professional game ranger and hostess reside on-site at all times.” Facilities After game viewing under the warm African sun, plunge into the crystal clear waters of the lodge swimming pool. End the day with the quality cuisine from the Reserve Restaurant (5 min drive from your lodging) or a braai (barbeque) at the lodge (must be booked in advance); all included in your daily DBB rates. The main entertainment building is open plan, fully air-conditioned and includes an open board room for up to 12 delegates. The lounge area has television, DSTV, DVD player and surround sound; bar area with pool table and board games. Our undercover patios include table and chairs for 10 guests. The lodge patio and swimming pool is also in this area. Activities Package includes two game drives daily offering you full access to the Pilanesberg National Park. Bush walks are also available at an additional charge and must be booked in advance. Other activities available in the area include elephant-back safaris and hot air balloon rides, and can be arranged by the hostess on request in advance.
